I needed some Cerenia 24mg dog sickness tablets from my vet (Rhianfa) in Rhyl but thought they were a little expensive the last time I needed them from there . I did a check online to discover that UK vets online charges 2.47 for this dose of tablet . I rang Rhianfa and spoke to one of the vets that proceeded to explain why he charges 66 for a box of four tablets of Cerenia , including suggesting they may be suppliers of fake tablets online despite the online vet drug medication suppliers being based in Uk and requiring a prescription before dispensing. I need the dog sickness tablets as travelling soon so had to go to Rhianfa today to buy some but before doing so rang another vet locally in Abergele that advised me for the same four tablets they charge just over 20 per box . I adviced the vetenirary nurse of this fact when I arrived at Rhianfa (who was clearly non pluses and didn't care ) and even asked her to call the other vet to confirm the greatly reduced cost of the same medication , again not bothered. I informed her I wasn't happy about being overcharged , again no redress. I could not obtain the same medication from the other vet in Abergele without my dog been seen but there isn't time to do this before I travel. I had to therefore pay the rip off cost of 66 to Rhianfa for 4 tablets . Obviously I informed Rhianfa that I will no longer require my dogs to be registered with them and now will be taking my business to the vet in Abergele.
Fixed my dog on a bank holiday Friday night no problem x
